THE SOC

The SOC is built into ALERE Accounting as the Configuration Module. It also is available as a separate product to enhance the SAGE Pro sales orders.

WHAT THE SOC DOES

The SOC works inside a sales order and when an item is entered that can be configured, it displays the product features and options to be chosen. When done the SOC will calculate the cost and sell price for the item and even assign a finished good part number!

KITTING

The SOC handles kitting and even allows the components and quantities that make up the kit to be selected!

Since the SOC relies on modular and variable bills of material to power it, the numbers of bills necessary to support products can be greatly condensed. This reduces the engineering overhead associated with the creation and maintenance of bills thereby increasing accuracy and, in turn reducing inventory.
