ALERE™ Accounting Links! - TIW’s new ALERE Accounting package and shopLink integrate seamlessly. Install shopLink, answer a couple of straightforward questions and the links are established instantly! Now you can have an integrated accounting package and an entry-level manufacturing system from one vendor - TIW!

Images for Bills of Material - Up to two images can be assigned to any bill of material! Adding images to a BOM is easy. Just click on the new BOM Image tab, double click in one of the two path fields, and select the image you want. The BOM will accept BMP, GIF, JPG, and ICO formats. Export CAD drawings as BMP files and include them in your bills!

Each image can have a description associated with it that will accept virtually unlimited text! Write all you want about features, options, assembly instructions, or any other “special” notes! Using the TIW Dynamic Screen Sizing technology, the screen can be stretched to enlarge the image or show more lines of description!

BOM Child Hyperlinks - Child records on the BOM Child tab are hyperlinked to the inventory list! Simply highlight a child record and open the Inventory screen. It will automatically find and display the inventory information on the child! This is an excellent way to validate inventory settings and check stock levels!

Finished Good Location Defaults - The recent introduction of ALERE™ Accounting, with its host of new features, allows the capabilities of shopLink to be expanded. The first area to benefit is the material order.

The ALERE Inventory Module supports default locations for each item. When a material order is created, the default Location, Store, and Bin can now be looked up for the item and automatically entered on the order!

Language Settings by User - This new feature allows each user to be assigned a default Language on the User Login Options screen. In shopLink the most practical use would be setting defaults for the report options.

For users who want extended control over shopLink, the WorkShop Developer’s Source Kit can be used. The Language settings could be used to support different languages, resizing screens, presetting screen options, etc.

Diskless Workstation Installation - Here is a great way to quickly install the five user version of shopLink on a workstation without a CD! Just double click on SETUPMU.EXE and the install process for the workstation is automatically started! The program can be found in the program directory and is optionally installed during the server installation.

Special Function Keys - To make life a little easier, the special function keys to use for Add (F7), Get (F8), and Save (F9) have been added to the buttons on each screen!

Support for Build 2501 - For our users who operate on the Pro/shopLink platform, we have included in this release compatibility with ACCPAC Pro Series Build 2501!

HTML User's Manual - The User's Manual has been rewritten in the HTML format and uses Internet Explorer for viewing. This means that every user can have their own copy of the manual right on their desktop. The manual is much more useful because it works like a web site and newer versions can be downloaded for free from the TIW web site!
